Hilom was built through years of caring for patients with wounds that were often already severe by the time they sought help. Many had gone through repeated dressings, delayed consultations, fragmented care, or long periods of uncertainty before finally reaching specialized treatment.

Over time, we began to notice the same difficult pattern. Many patients came to us only after being told that little else could be done, or after major amputation had already been discussed as the next likely step. Some were referred to us by physicians, surgeons, hospitals, or even other patients and families who hoped that one more attempt at preservation might still be possible.
These experiences shaped Hilom into more than a traditional wound clinic. We saw that wounds worsened not only because of the medical condition itself, but also because patients and families often struggled to access organized wound care, recognize early warning signs, maintain continuity of treatment, or navigate different healthcare settings.

Our approach gradually evolved toward preservation, early recognition, continuity of care, patient education, and prevention of avoidable deterioration whenever possible. While not every wound can be healed and not every limb can ultimately be saved, we believe patients deserve careful evaluation, responsible treatment, honest guidance, and every reasonable opportunity for preservation before major amputation is considered.

Today, Hilom continues to grow as a physician-led advanced wound care institution focused on practical, evidence-based, and accessible care for patients with complex wounds and limb-threatening conditions. Beyond treatment, we also support education, prevention initiatives, multidisciplinary collaboration, and efforts that encourage earlier intervention and more organized wound care pathways.
